Best Indie Games of 2022

2022 was a fantastic year for small indie developers. Choosing the top ten games was a challenging task. After careful consideration, we concluded that 18 games truly deserved a spot on the year-end list.

3: Stray

4: Rogue Legacy 2

Rogue Legacy 2 is a game that combines elements of a traditional rogue-like with genealogical features. It includes randomized runs, character variations, and more, while also incorporating persistent upgrades and dead heirs. Your legacy plays a significant role in this game, as you can use your parents’ inheritance to improve the family manor and increase your children’s chances of success in battles.

5: Nobody Saves the World

Your only option is to fight for your life and endure until your inevitable demise. Collect gold during each playthrough to purchase upgrades and assist future survivors.

7: Stacklands

Stacklands is a game that allows you to construct a village by stacking cards. Through this process, you can gather food, construct buildings, and combat various creatures. To illustrate, if you place a ‘Villager’ card onto a ‘Berry Bush’ card, it will generate ‘Berry’ cards that the villagers can consume for sustenance.

8: Endling: Extinction is Forever

9: Tinykin
