Gameplay

Yoku’s Island Express involves side-scrolling platforming as its main gameplay. In the game, the player has the ability to move Yoku left and right. However, jumping is not a possible action. To counter this, the player can use pinball paddles, which are distributed throughout the map, to launch Yoku into the air along with a ball attached to it. The game is set in an open-world island with a Metroidvania-style environment, containing several bumpers, tracks, and ramps to utilize the pinball mechanics.
