Gameplay

Axiom Verge is an action-packed adventure game where players take on the role of Trace, a scientist who finds himself in a mysterious and advanced world after a terrible injury. The game offers an exciting blend of exploration and action, with a vast array of over 60 power-ups and items. The gameplay is heavily influenced by classic games such as Metroid, Contra, Blaster Master, and Bionic Commando.

Story

Axiom Verge presents its storyline through Cutscenes and Notes scattered throughout the game. While some of these provide clear insights, others are open to interpretation. As a result, players can derive multiple meanings from the game’s narrative. In essence, Axiom Verge challenges players to question the nature of reality.

Trace Eschenbrenner, a scientist, finds himself on the alien planet of Sudra after being knocked out from a lab explosion. He hears a voice and sets out to locate its source. His journey leads him to Elsenova, a gigantic mechanical head that he must confront after fighting his way through obstacles.
