Gameplay

In Dusk, the main goal is to safely navigate through each level and reach the exit while avoiding any dangers along the way. These dangers consist of various enemies like cultists, demonic animals, scarecrows, and possessed soldiers. To defend themselves, players can choose from a range of weapons such as dual sickles, dual pistols, shotguns, rifles, a crossbow, a mortar, a magic sword, and the “Riveter” which shoots explosive rivets. A unique feature of Dusk is the ability for players to rotate their axis while in midair, granting them the ability to perform acrobatic moves like flips.

Story

The setting of the game Dusk is the fictional rural town of Dusk, Pennsylvania. The discovery of a vast network of ruins with Lovecraftian influences beneath a farmland section draws the attention of the government. Military personnel and scientists set up research labs and factories in the town to explore the magic of the ruins. However, the research team faces demonic possessions and industrial disasters, leading to the evacuation of the town. A perimeter wall is constructed around the town, isolating it from the outside world. In the game, the player takes on the role of a treasure hunter known as “DuskDude” or “The Intruder” who seeks hidden riches within the sealed town.

How long is DUSK?

When it comes to the main goals, DUSK typically takes about 7 and a half hours to complete. However, if you’re someone who wants to fully explore every aspect of the game, you can expect to spend around 16 hours in order to achieve 100% completion.
