Gameplay

Furi is a frenetic action title that incorporates hack and slash, twin stick and bullet hell components, and consists only of boss fights. Gameplay involves avoiding bullets, counter-attacking to recover health, combatting bosses up close with melee attacks or from a distance with projectiles, and quick time events. The game is set in a series of linear, enclosed world environments. It is set in a prison with ten small arenas (floating islands) linked by shorter pathways. Most of the storyline is revealed during mid-fight interactions with bosses and in brief cutscenes that occur at the beginning and end of the fights. The remainder of the story is told during player-controlled walking segments that act as longer cinematic sequences and provide pause between boss fights.
