Gameplay

The game involves guiding Princess Ida through puzzling optical illusions and challenging obstacles by manipulating the surroundings. The aim is to reach different platforms throughout the mazes.

Story

Ida journeys to “Monument Valley” to give back the Sacred Geometry she had taken earlier. Along the way, she encounters a spirit that communicates with her and also comes across the crows and a kind totem.

How long is Monument Valley?

In terms of its main goals, Monument Valley typically takes around 1½ hours to complete. However, if you’re a thorough gamer who wants to explore every aspect of the game, it may take you around 2½ hours to achieve 100% completion.

Reception

Mounment Valley was generally well recieved by critics. It was praised for its impressive art and sound design, however, it was criticized for its low level of difficulty and short duration. In 2014, the game was honored with an Apple Design Award and was recognized as the best iPad game by Apple.

Monument Valley had sold more than two million copies by the beginning of 2015, and by May 2016, its sales had surpassed 26 million.
